30 Notes Before 30 | March 28, 2016

a little boy gave me colorful daisies today. it was a gesture to show his appreciation. i wasn’t expecting anything for staff appreciation week. i had only planned to give out gifts to teachers and help my principal celebrate his birthday. i guess when you least expect anything, there’s something being prepared just for you. this is the second time this month someone has blessed me with flowers. but it’s not the first time i’ve been told thank you, given a warm hug, a bright smile, or a simple wave hello. sometimes I tend to spend so much time on everything that’s wrong, that the good goes unnoticed. once i arrived home, I disposed my dead flowers from valentine’s day and replace them with my newer ones. that’s when i noticed the note. “thank you for your passion and dedication.” despite how emotionally drained i am after school, it’s good to know that my work never goes unnoticed. do everything with passion, or don’t do it at all.
[These are my open notes that I’ve hidden from the world. Over the next month, I am making them public until my birthday on April 14th.]
