GO AFTER IT!~ Pastor Owens Give Tips On How To Be Successful

Sunday’s service was everything I needed to kick off a new year. Pastor Owens advice and tips on how to be successful moved my spirit so much that I’ve been sharing it with a few of my family and friends. I think we all could benefit from quick reminders every now and then to give us that little push to go after our dreams.

Here are my notes I jotted down during Pastor Owens’ service. Hopefully, some, if not all, will resonate with you and you’ll find them applicable to your own life.

•Go after it! It won’t fall in your lap our out of the sky.

•Go requires movement.

•You must pursue your destiny.

•When one is aggressive, they refuse to take no for an answer. They are known to attack and go after it.

•No more hesitation.

•No more reservation.

•No more procrastination.

•Whatever tomorrow holds, face it.

•To get what you’ve never had, you must do what you’ve never done.

•In 2015, you must take a risk.

•Innovators produce haters.
Innovators produce haters and haters produce spectators. Innovators produce haters, haters produce spectators, and spectators produce debaters.

•People will try to talk you out of your dream. Don’t let them.

•Keep Glowing. Keep Flowing. Keep Sowing. Keep Going.

•Keep some stuff to yourself because there are haters in your family and friends.

•You can’t get complacent and comfortable and allow your dreams to wither away.

•If it doesn’t work out the first time, try again.

•Use what you already got (prayer, fasting, sacrificing) to get through it.

•Seize the moment. Go after your dreams. Chase your vision. Feel your heartbeat.

•Don’t give in. Don’t give up. Don’t quit.

•Build your legacy. Maintain your health. Get out of debt.

•Think big. Plan big. Give big. See big. Hear big.

•God’s plan for you is bigger than your own plan.

•How big is your problem? How big is your God? Which is the biggest?

•Even when your hope is dashed, go after it!

•CHASE IT! CATCH IT! GO AFTER IT!

  1. A great presentation! My only additional thought is that while being aggressive is a key component of achieving your goals, it must not be used such that others are pushed aside, ignored, deemed lesser people. We can still be faithful to our core beliefs while pursuing a goal!
